(24.6.2025) 8TH INDUSTRIAL SPORTS FESTIVAL OF FOSIL-CITUB

From June 19 to 22, 2025, the seaside town of Primorsko, Bulgaria, hosted the 8th Open Sports Festival organized by the Federation of Independent Trade Union Organizations from the Light Industry (FOSIL-CITUB). The event brought together more than 120 workers from light industry companies across the country.

This year’s edition was held under the motto “35 Years Since the Founding of the Federation – IndustriALL Solidarity”, marking the 35th anniversary of FOSIL-CITUB, established on May 12, 1990.

The goal of the festival was to bring together trade union activists and workers who are not yet union members, to promote union culture and awareness, to strengthen the federation’s tradition of protecting workers’ rights, and to encourage healthy living, teamwork, and solidarity through sports.

RETUNSEE was proudly represented at the event by Vice President Süleyman Akyüz and General Secretary Mitja C. Fabjan, who expressed strong support for events that unite workers across borders and foster a sense of shared purpose and solidarity.

The RETUNSEE network is focused on finding solutions within a region that faces similar challenges. Our joint activities strengthen the effectiveness of our member unions. Events like this are vital for sharing experiences and best practices. We are especially pleased to see the network expanding into new countries – with each new member, we grow stronger together.
