(10.10.2025) Company NIS Serbia under sanctions
The company NIS Serbia has been affected by sanctions due to its majority ownership being linked to Russia. As a result, it is facing serious operational challenges, and the payment of salaries for more than 13,500 employees is at risk — people who are in no way responsible for the current situation.
Despite these difficulties, employees continue to perform their duties diligently, and the union is making exceptional efforts to help resolve the situation as soon as possible. The president of the NIS union, Goran Takić, who also serves as president of the RETUNSEE network, gave an outstanding performance yesterday on Serbia’s national television, strongly representing the interests of NIS employees — for which we sincerely congratulate him.
To our colleagues at NIS, we send a clear message: we stand with you in your efforts to resolve the challenges that are crucial for the employees, the company, and the country.
IN SOLIDARITY!
