SDE Hosts RETUNSEE Regional Energy Trade Union Network in Ljubljana

SDE – the Trade Union of Energy Sector Workers of Slovenia – hosted the 13th regular meeting of the Executive Committee of RETUNSEE in Ljubljana. RETUNSEE is a regional network that brings together energy trade unions from 12 Southeastern European countries.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experiences and good practices in social dialogue, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the green transition in the energy sector. One day prior, the 46th meeting of the organization’s Presidency was held. Over the past 12 years, RETUNSEE has made significant progress in improving the working conditions and rights of employees in the energy sector.

The Executive Committee also reviewed applications for membership from two new unions – from Bulgaria and Serbia – highlighting the successful work of the network and its continued expansion throughout the region.

The participants were welcomed by State Secretary mag. Tina Sršen, who, on behalf of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy (MOPE), emphasized the importance of social dialogue as a key factor in implementing the major changes taking place in the European energy sector.
