Declaration of Solidarity

The Regional Energy Trade Union Network of South East Europe (RETUN-SEE) expresses its solidarity with the struggle of the Pan-Hellenic Energy Federation and its member Unions against the privatization of Energy Companies in Greece and supports the nation-wide sectoral strike it has called for, on Thursday 28 February 2019, with the following demands:

– Safeguarding the social character of energy
– Defending labour and social security rights
– Cancellation of the privatization of Energy Companies
– Ensuring permanent and stable jobs for all, with equivalent rights
– Granting permanent status to all workers, regardless of their workplace or employment relationship
– Re-establishing labour rights and signing of Collective Agreements
– Revocation of all anti-democratic commitments
– Restoration of popular sovereignty
– Development of the country for the benefit of society
